Swiss Epic is the most famous stage race in Switzerland. The tour starts in Laax Murschetg and leads to Falera and Ladir. On the way you pass old farmhouses, chapels and the impressive panorama of the Grisons mountains. A wide trail leads from Ruschein down to Illanz. After you pass the Dominican convent and follow the Rhine for three kilometers, the route climbs again. The route leads you through the Flims forest continuously uphill towards Lake Cauma and then back to Flims to Alp Foppa, the highest point of the tour. From there you can join the Runca Trail and enjoy an eight-kilometer flow trail descent.
This is one of the most beautiful and diverse trails in our region. This trail winds through our region, leading along the imposing Ruinaulta with views of the beautiful mountain landscape, through fairy-tale forests and past majestic bathing lakes. It’s not just the setting that’s diverse, but also our trails. You will encounter everything from tarred roads to forest paths and single trails. Expert bikers will complete this round trip in a day. Those who prefer to enjoy the landscape at their ease or fancy a dip in the refreshing lakes can also take on this trail in different daily stages or shorten it by public transport.
Fantastic bike tour on natural roads and easy single trails to the alp Dadens dairy above Falera. From Laax Murschetg you go up via the Planetenweg. Through the narrow streets of Falera you reach a well-built alpine road up towards Crap Sogn Gion. Once the last of the approx. 800 meters of altitude have been climbed, the route branches off over a small bridge onto the natural and rooty trail. A stop at the alpine dairy for cheese tasting is considered an insider tip, the alpine farmers of the Dadens alp spoil hungry guests with local specialties, freshly baked cakes and delicious dishes. From now on it's downhill, on the easy single trail descent to Falera you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Signina Group and the famous Rhine Gorge.
The trail through Flims forest offers magnificent views of the Vorderrhein gorge, the Ruinaulta. With its viewing points and restaurants, Conn is the perfect place to stop for a break. At Restaurant Conn, you can fuel up with some Trins pear ravioli or other delights, while marvelling at the breathtaking views of the Rhine gorge on offer from the ‘Il Spir’ platform. When you witness the 180° views of the gorge, you will understand why this is known as the 'Swiss Grand Canyon’.
